Hat Banchuen to Trat - Two sisters, four wheels: Saigon to Bangkok - Vol.2 - CycleBlaze

Hat Banchuen to Trat

To anybody who might have missed us yesterday - we had a wonderful rest day at the beach and so we didn't have to tell anything at all... 😉 ☀️

This morning we left relatively early for Trat.

First we went along an extended cycle path along the side road leading in the end to Highway 3. Very nice and pleasant to ride.

In the first section the Highway was nicely paved and constructions can not have finished a long time ago. With such a nice road surface to go on, one hardly wants to use side roads.

The biggest part of the road is under construction at the moment, but still very good to ride on. The traffic is low- and nobody honks his horn! What happened to the Thais in recent years?  Does honking cost anything now?

But that's by no means unpleasant.

So we arrived in a good mood in Trat and are currently waiting for our food.

Enough time to report about the doppelgangers we have seen so far 😁

In Vietnam we saw Kathrin's - famous in the “Sumpfblume“ in Hameln and in Berlin - and David Bowie's Vietnamese counterpart. And unfortunately we do not have photographed those two.

Today the Thai Barack Obama and the male Thai Angela Merkel smiled at us from several election posters along the road.

You can see it with a little imagination - just make an effort 🤣

Now we had our food and I had ordered holy basil with rice - and got seafood. Anyone who knows me is aware, that I am not a friend of anything that tastes fishy.

But I have tried bravely - and I'm unexpectedly satisfied  😋

I don't know if I'd order one of these at home. But here I'm not afraid anymore 😁😏

Now we go shopping - and then into our room on the fourth floor.  With balcony. Nice view!

Tomorrow we’re going to another beach, to have another rest day.

We’ll see if we can book a nice beach bungalow in advance 🏖️☀️️☀️☀😁

So long...

Da will man kaum auf Nebenstraßen.

So long…

Today's ride: 69 km (43 miles)
Total: 728 km (452 miles)
