Three Sisters to Lake Moeraki: Ok 2.25 sisters

The planned ride was from Franz Josef to Lake Moeraki but we are on the wet coast and it rained all night and was still raining in the AM. The ride started with 3 climbs, the 3 sisters only 4km from the start. Given all of that we decided that we would take a bump over the Sisters. However when we stopped to check on those who did ride and the weather had improved so we got out. The end result was 2.25 of the Sisters and 104km in total. We did have drizzle, rain and even some sun throughout the day. I was very wet at the lunch stop which was an inland salmon fish hatchery but I changed clothes and carried on in the sun. We stayed at the Lake Moeraki Wilderness Lodge which is the sister lodge to the Arthur's Pass lodge. Part of our stay included a guided forest walk and an eel feeding session. http://boborgail.blogspot.co.nz/

You can't see it but I am a drowned rat at about this point. On a nice day this would be a beautiful beach on the Tasman Sea.

One of the eels feeding on the lodge tour. This one could be about 80 years old.
