Preparations: a subtle mixture of anticipation and procrastination

So far, my long experience acquired in camping is 1 week. I could never go above. This year, I will be gone for 2 weeks. This is going to be a kind of rehearsal for the next trips I am planing to do when retired.

CAMPING

1 tent, 3 places, one for me and 2 for the trike. The trike usually stays outside, but in case I have to leave the tent for an unexpected period of time, combine with strong winds and heavy rains I can put the trike in the tent and go see the dentist.

1 tarp to place in between the ground and the tent,

1 hammack

1 piece of wood, no hammer for the tent pegs. I use the blue towel to absorb condensed or rain water on the tent before folding.

See the piece of wood I used to push the pegs into the ground, better, lighter than a hammer, no noise, pegs are not dammaged, allows you to keep your fingers .

CLOTH

1 Ortlieb blue water proof bag to store clean and dry cloths

1 pair of SPD shimano sandales

2 pairs of socks

Sunny days

2 Patagonia Capilene #1 silkweight T-shirts

2 Patagonia Lightweight Briefs

2 shorts

1 swimming suit

additionally for rainy days

1 yellow water proof rain coat

After installation and nice shower

1 pair of trouser with zipper to convert into short

1 thermarest cushion/pillow. Good when stand up on the knees inside the tent, and slide under the sleeping matress to become a pillow case.

1 thermarest compact chair in which you slide the sleeping mattress. It allows you to be comfortably sat inside or outside the tent. Great for breakfast or diner inside the tent when raining.

honey (my daughter Stephanie brought me the container 250g Tawari Honey - from New Zealand that exactly fits into my coffee mug).
