Strawberry Shelter - Falls CG

Union Pass was a bit of a non-event, being a flat rather than a transition from up to down

A restful night on the floor of Strawberry Shelter set us up for the flattish road to Union Pass. It was a very pretty ride through forest and eventually the open views of the summit.

We elected to take the alternate route through Dubois (called du Boys locally) to avoid expected ATV action on the county roads - it being a Sunday. This put us on highway, with a good shoulder, but possibly less scenic than the main route.

We pulled into Falls CG mid afternoon and settled in for a quiet night.
