Stephen's Bus - Radium
The road past Stephen's place is maintained extra specially well because of the mine, so we enjoyed almost 40km of smooth, only slightly muddy road all the way to Kremmling, where we stopped for lunch and supplies for 2 more nights camping.
Our goal for the night was Radium, and after an initial slog up a washboarded hill, it was delightfully scenic, if a little busy with rafting vans and trailers.
And then we came upon the Colorado River, down in a deep gorge. Wow!
A final down and slight up and we reached Radium CG. We chose a site then went through the torturous phone conversation to book and pay our $34.
Kelly the camp host was very helpful and gave us some drinking water as the Colorado was too silty to filter without letting it settle overnight.

Unfortunately, info omitted from the brochure was proximity of the train track to the camp (all of Radium, really). The first very long train passed as we were washing up after dinner. The next 4 were after dark and it sounded as though we were sleeping on the tracks!
Today's ride: 73 km (45 miles)
Total: 1,812 km (1,125 miles)
