A very easy and beautiful 19k down to Canmore. A photo around every corner.
In the main street I stopped a walker to ask where I'd find an open cafe at 0710. Sue turned out to be fresh in town after a week hiking, and she had scouted a bakery with an espresso machine, so we both went there for breakfast and to share stories. A fun and very interesting chat, thanks Sue!
If you've read the comments to this journal, you will have seen that one of the early comments was from Lyle, offering to host us in Canmore. Karo will arrive in town soon, hopefully ahead of tomorrow's forecast rain, and we will have our farewell celebration dinner, and play with Lyle's guide dog puppy, Ralphie.
