We had a real battle to leave this very comfy and hospitable B&B! A very comprehensive breakfast was served, including fresh biscuits for Karo, and we chatted to Dee about the house, her frequent sightings of wild life going to drink at the pond and the extensive history of this part of Wyoming. (The Mormon Handcart event sounds particularly difficult)

Atlantic City - something of a disappointment!

We finally rode out at 11am and arrived at Allantic City soon after. This very small town boasts two restaurants and a small store. Unfortunately it is nestled among some steep wee hills.

The other main business in town seems to be Wild Bill's gunshop, septic tank cleaning and motel. Sort of a one stop shop.

Also in town were the Water Boys from yesterday - and "Troy" was able to correct his name to "Travis". It was fun for Karo to meet them and hear about their adventures. Last night they camped near South Pass City and panned for gold.

We were both tired from yesterday's extended day on the road, so debated our next move. We decided 40km to a wild camp  would be enough of a challenge for the afternoon.

The site was lovely, until the mosquitos came out. We ate dinner still dressed   in our rain gear, and then dived into the tents to shut the hoards  out.

Today's ride: 58 km (36 miles)
Total: 2,425 km (1,506 miles)
