Ladder Ranch - Teton Reservoir CG

Hello from Wyoming!

Very soon after leaving Ladder Ranch,  we also left Colorado, and entered our third State - Wyoming

Most of the day was on pavement, except for about 12 km on gravel in the middle, which had a couple of short, steep climbs. Just as we were getting fed up with the dust from ATVs and RVs, the pavement restarted.

Initially this seemed like a good thing, but it was ruler straight and went up and down over, rather than around, small ridges. I had plenty of time to consider how this was definitely not the original route that a team of 8 oxen towing a loaded wagon would have taken!

Our introduction to Wyoming has not been inspiring!

Our planned camp site was Teton Reservoir, but it stubbornly refused to appear, and there were zero other water sources or camping options, until I cam eupon this Trail Angel's nest of water

Trail Angel nests are so welcome and appreciated

Eventually Teton Reservoir appeared and we could stop riding for the day.
