Encore: Icefields Parkway to Jasper

July 15, 2025 to July 18, 2025

The clouds started to lift as we left Banff. This is the Bow River, on its way to Calgary

I rode the 1A from Banff to Lake Louise and enjoyed the wide shoulder and slower traffic. At one point there was a bear-jam for a black bear up on the cliff beside the road.

Rather than ask locals to re live their fire experience of 1 year ago, I bought the book. Fascinating read.
