Hopewell Rocks Provincial Parks

Touring from Moncton off bikes

A great day. I never heard of Hopewell Rocks but it was a great experience to see and learn about the Bay of Fundy tides. Our timing was perfect. Low tide - then you can walk down to the beach - was at 11:00am. Then you have to leave the beach area around 11:30 as the tide starts a slow rise. The photos show it all. All the shots at the bottom will be way under water at high tide.

View from the top.

I took this photo in the visitor center. It shows the high and low water at those two tide levels.

Then we went to the beach town of Alma several miles away. En route back we took a short side road to Cape Enrage. It was not enraged when we were there. The beach was all flat stones 3-7or 8 inches in diameter. People had built minitowers all along the cement blocks that kept vehicles from driving on the stone beach.

It’s hard to see in my photo.
