This is just half of the front of this guy's shop. It goes back quite a long way as well but if you go down the tunnel you realize you can't see anything. Stuff is floor to ceiling. There must be stuff in there that is fifty years old and still in the original packaging.

Mike PalmquistI would never go down the tunnel. It would be like Silence of the Lambs creepy to me. Just. No.

I'm pretty sure these are made in Thailand. That's why they are not the cheapest wheelbarrows. 2200 Baht = $73. But, there's some pretty cool colors.

My favorite restaurant in Nong Khai. Everyday there are many choices in the trays. About 11:30AM they start putting it all in bags to sell as take away so you better take an early lunch.

These are hard little green apple-like fruit that's kind of tasteless.

These, on the other hand, have all sorts of taste.

Jen RahnHave you tried these?

For some reason spicy lobster sounds good to me, but I just can't imagine a squid-flavored potato chip.

Bruce LellmanWe tried Spicy Lobster last trip and it was good. Hot Chili Squid was new for us this trip. It's devine.

Ron SuchanekI'll take your word for it. Sounds dreadful. Do they have regular potato flavored Lays Stax?

There was a festival of food and music every night along the promenade in Nong Khai from before Christmas until Jan. 2nd. It was very beautiful to see how much the Thais enjoy their festivals.

We don't know what this is either but it's gorgeous. It can cover a small building.

Barbecued eggs do not have a great taste as you might imagine.

Scott AndersonWhat color are they inside? I wonder if they’re anything like the awful stone eggs I tried in Taiwan.

Bruce LellmanTo Scott AndersonNo, they are normal. So, if they are normal why do it? They don't taste like anything other than normal either.
