Ousson-sur-Loire to La Charite-sur-Loire

Had a wonderful dinner at a traditional French restaurant - we had the "formule" 3 course meal. The owner took an interest in us and brought us samples of everything on the menu that we didn't know: blood sausage, tripe. Our selections were more conservative: steak and roast chicken and creme brûlée.
The ride today was a perfect ride along beautifully paved canal paths through the vineyards of Burgundy and then along the Loire river later in the day. The weather was unpredictable all day but it didn't dampen ( bad pun I know!) our day.
Arrived in the delightful village of La Charite to find that it was full of Blues fans in town for the annual festival. All of the hotels were full and we got the last campsite right on the river. An awesome day.

We stayed in this hotel. The room was new, lovely and reasonably priced. The restaurant was very expensive. We ate across the road for a fraction of the cost
