The Logistics of Cycling in Japan
We feel like we have learned a great deal about the logistics of travel planning over the years but Japan does present some challenges. In the past few months we have experienced a steep learning curve.
For example, since we will be in Japan for more than 1 month, we must register each of our prescriptions individually and receive approval prior to arrival. Not to do so, could result in the confiscation of our medications. It took us some time and more than one attempt to get it right, but we received the official approval from the Japanese government very quickly. Whew!

Nonetheless, we are excited by the challenges Japan offers….riding on the left side of the road, understanding the language, verbally and in writing, as well as understanding Japanese customs. After all, these differences make travelling rewarding for us.
