A rain delay in Nagahama

We have learned while in Japan that their weather forecasts are very precise and accurate. So when we read about today’s forecast of heavy rain, up to 100 mm, we took it seriously.

It certainly will be not a travel day, or even a day of exploring. We are comfortable where we are, they have great laundry facilities (sorely needed) and a lovely public bath where we can spend time.

Trikes are covered by an overhang and our large knapsack covers from MEC work well to cover our seats.

Across the across the road is a huge Pachinko parlour. Even on a dull rainy day, it sparkles.

In the opposite direction we are surrounded by rice fields and farmland.
