Day 31: Worland to Shoshoni
Today we started off with a wonderful breakfast from our Warmshowers hosts Steve and Sue. With full bellies, we headed south on another scorcher (99F).. It was all roads again with wide open spaces for most of the day. We did stop to see the hot springs in Thermopolis, but it was a little to hot take a dip, plus we still had 30 miles to go. However, we did take the time to grab lunch at a local brewery, the One Eyed Buffalo, and picked up food. After lunch we rode through the Wind River Canyon following the Wind River with very steep sided mountains on either side and scenic views around every corner. We arrived in Shoshoni in the late afternoon and took and extended break at a gas station to cool down with some chocolate slushies. Rehydrated, we rode another 4 miles to Lakside Campground in Boysen State Park. We ate late dinner and went to bed early with plans to get up 5 am. no water at this campsite, but a beautiful sunset. Tomorrow will be our first 100 mile day.
Today's ride: 78 miles (126 km)
Total: 1,441 miles (2,319 km)
