Training? What training. - Six Countries For Sixty Years - CycleBlaze

Training? What training.

I spent the winter riding loop de loops on the Huckleberry Trail in Tucson. Jacinto mostly stayed in Colorado, driving the school students around the state on sports activities. He took his folding foot bike with him to ride while he waited on the kids. Jacinto doesn't mind the cold. Snow shoeing is his favorite winter sport. Me? Every winter I spend in Tucson, I get softer, and softer. Before you know it, I will be wearing a down coat, and an Elmer Fudd hat once it hits 50 degrees! I did ride 95 days in a row - a new record for me. Miles I have, climbing, not so much. We will be crossing the Pyrenees on days 3 and 4. It should be interesting!

Jacinto rode 70 miles round trip from the house to the top of Mount Lemmon on his last visit. That was over 6,000 feet of climbing. I think he is good to go.

Jacinto's folding Mibo brand foot bike saw lots of Colorado this year. The folding feature is fast and easy.

Jacinto did make it to sunny Tucson. This photo was taken at East Saguaro Park. The Sonoran Desert is the only place in the entire world with saguaros.

Tucson is a UNESCO gastronomy site. I like the Sonoran hotdogs! They are unique to the area, with bolillo buns, Mexican hotdog meat, tomatoes, onion, beans, mayo, mustard, and jalapeno sauce.
