Figueres and Cadaques: Took in some culture

We took another day off the bike after the big yesterday to see some more of this region of Spain. Girona is only about 60km from the French border but we decided to stay in Spain. First we went to Figueres the birthplace of Salvador Dali and believe it or not we actually went to the museum dedicated to him. After that we wandered the old town before heading to the coast and the town of Cadaqués. This town is also famous for visits by Dali but also its white buildings with blue shutters. This town while full of tourists was not as tacky as the previous one. We had lunch, wandered about and did some retail therapy before returning to Girona. Back on the bike tomorrow.

This mornings breakfast.
