Arrivederci Italia: Hola Espagne

I am currrently sitting the Bologna business lounge waiting for our flight to Barcelona. We stay there tonight and then head to Girona where have a VRBO for 8 days. Before leaving Bologna we wandered some more and even walked the 498 steps up the Tower of Asinelli. It is the tallest of the 2 towers at 97.2m/320'. It lwas built between 1109-1119 and is 1.3dgrees off centre. It has survived fire, earthquakes and WWII bombings. During WWII pilots placed bets on who could knock it down but nobody won the wager, smart bombs had not been invented. By comparison the small tower Garisenda leans 4degrees from centre while Pisa is off by 3.97degrees.
