We're home and Janice is mending.  Meanwhile, we are considering options so we can complete the ride.  We always thought we'd both ride the full distance unsupported but if we want to do it this year, Janice may not be able to ride "full" days; at least initially.  Right now, we're considering taking the car and completing the ride as a relay once Janice can ride at least 15-25 miles. Since the bikes will be unloaded, I may  be able to ride our originally planned 45-60 miles, allowing us to make up time and complete the ride before the seasons turn in the fall.  Not what we expected, but remember what we said about Rule 1 - Be Flexible.
