Day 2 - West Glacier and Glacier National Park
Had a nice evening with.a Great Divide rider - Matt from German. Nice lawer kid taking five weeks for his journey. He rode in here after an eleven hour ride. It wasn’t a plan, just turned out that way. Anyway…nice kid, he shared his coffee stash with me.
En route to Glacier for some cabin living …. Not a big ride, but the next views should be epic. Two days there is the plan.
Columbia Falls
What a beautiful route farms and meadows and mountains to Columbia Falls. Festivities going on running race, parade and firehouse breakfast - must stop.
Met Mason 87 years young Air Force Vet / fireman / hiker. He was with his CREW -14 family members. He stood out wearing his dark safary head with the AF logo.
He said see that mountain - I climbed it and got lost, didn't get out until after dark.
Nice meeting you all Mason and crew.
Connected to Route 2 for the final leg to Glacier Campground, West Glacier. The route was a mix of road, sidewalk and paths. One hazardous couple miles coming into Hungry Horse, but I got it done. Made one wrong uphill turn to what I thought was my campground, but it was beautiful.
