Day 2 -- Not a lot going on

I scored the day 2 entry, which will be a short one. After our towering 25 km performance the previous day, we treated ourselves to zero day.
We really did very little. We enjoyed a short hike around the eastern side of the park, along the sandstone shelf that constitutes a lot of the shoreline here. We did observe seals basking on small rocky islet, with the squeaky cries of nesting eagles as a backdrop.
We had the place almost to ourselves. There was another group of bikers (who lent us a lighter when we discovered we had forgotten one), the family of the camp host, and maybe one or two others.
It was basically a day of dozing, reading and snacking, with occasional forays out onto the sandstone points to watch the tide change direction. And that's about it.
