At Olympia

On our day off, we walked the short distance from our hotel to the ruins of ancient Olympia, another of the major historical sites in the Peloponnese. There's a lot to see here, and we spent most of the day wandering around, enjoying the sun, imagining the world as it must have been here thousands of years ago. Enough remains to be seen here to make the atmosphere very evocative, and this early in the season the crowds were still thin enough to not overwhelm the experience.
