Mamou LA claims to be the cajun music capital of the world.  Here's a photo of the mural on the side of Fred's Lounge, which hosts cajun music performances every Saturday morning and early afternoon.  We were lucky to be in town on a Saturday, so , after a lunch of fried shrimp at a cafe across the street, I walked over to Fred's Lounge and listened to the band.
