Gerri
Gerri, age 67, is married to Bill, who drove their RV and visited her when the group stayed 2 nights in Marathon TX. They stay at their house in Mesa AZ about 5 months per year, at their house in Carlyle PA about 4 months per year, and travel (or at least Gerri travels) about 3 months per year (such as on this Coast-2-Coast trip).
A retired HS teacher and college professor, Gerri (often with Bill) has done 13(!) cross-country bicycle rides since 1995. Most of those rides were self-supported (i.e., not with a group). This is her first ride with Timberline.
As shown in this photo, she rides an aluminum-frame Cannondale bike. The toy monkey in her bike's rear pack is named Stoker Sam because, on a tandem bike, the front rider is called the captain and the rear rider is called the stoker.
