Tonight we're staying at the Quality Inn in DeRidder LA. Here's a photo not of the hotel but of the Old Beauregard Parish Jail built in 1914.  Because of its "Collegiate Gothic" architecture, it's on the National Register of Historic Places. It's also known as the "Hanging Jail," from the dual execution of 2 murderers, who were hung in the jail's 3-story staircase in 1928.
