Today's route from Van Horn to Marfa TX was 73 miles. Due to forecasted winds of 30-40 mph from the west, the Timberline staff advised against riding and shuttled most of the group to Marfa.  Only Jim, Tim, Dan, Lisa L.  and I braved the winds and rode. We formed a pace-line and got to Marfa in 4.5 hours, averaging 19 mph, with a couple of stops. Including a stop at the famous Prada Marfa sculpture (looking like a Prada store) in the middle of nowhere.
