This is our tentative route. I am not sure of the overnights. I like taking the ride one day at a time. But I had to name some locations in order to form the map, so this is a rough idea of where we're going and staying.

The last few days home are a definite question. Once we hit Green River/Rock Springs, WY we'll have to make a choice on which road to take home. We could go through Maybell and on south. This is my personal first choice, but includes a stretch of dirt road that could be a problem if it's raining. Also going this way cuts out riding the state of Utah, so I would have to change the name of the journal. The printed route is the most likely as it avoids the dirt road and is more direct than the third choice of Rangely, Fruita, Grand Junction, and home. However, the printed route through Vernal and Meeker now has lots of big trucks and other traffic related to the gas drilling on the western slope of Colorado. If we took the third choice through Fruita/Grand Junction, we would miss the gas drilling traffic. We'll assess what choice we want to make as we're exiting Wyoming.

But, I have a map! It is so exciting to see where we will be exploring next summer!
