Villa O'Higgins: The waiting game
We have been sitting in Villa O'Higgins since Monday. We are scheduled to get on the third boat tomorrow, if they manage to get three trips in, otherwise we will be on the first boat on Saturday, if one runs at all. Yesterday's and today's boats were cancelled but tomorrow's forecast seems to be good.
It's pretty cold today. We had a light sprinkling of fresh snow on the hills above the town last night - and this is the height of summer !

We've used the time to catch up on work and do a bit of socialising. In the meantime, everyone else seems to be spending a lot of time cooking. El Mosco is not the worst place in which we have been stuck. The two main activities seem to be cooking and waiting at the ferry office to hear any news about when they might run.
