Sunday Rewiring
Sunday became a do-nothing day. The "boys" (Mark and Wayne) arrived later than expected. Traffic was very heavy, heavier than they had expected. Probably owing to the holiday weekend and holiday season in general coming to a close. So after dropping Wayne off at Brad's, Mark headed for the hotel and arrived at 2:00 AM. At least that is what I am told, as I slept right through his arrival, showering and unpacking. We both slept until 9:30 AM!
That was OK, as I didn't expect us to ride any great distances today. But then, it was chilly and raining, so neither did the three of them. If I had been touring, I would have had to saddle up and head out, but this week was rewired for local recreational riding. So we could take the day off. It promised to be better weather as time moves on.
So, breakfast at Sunnyside Cafe, which was very good.
Mark still had some business work to attend to, so I gave him the room so he could knock that out, which was good.
I went to the business center and worked on my blog, catching up on my day in Key West, riding in Sanibel with Jim, and the day trip from Port Charlotte to Sarasota. That was good as well!
In the evening, we went to Dino's Pizza for their buffet, which was OK but at a very good price. There, Mark and I met up with Wayne (who I know well) and Brad (who I have not met). So we had a lot to talk about.
After dinner, we went to AMC Theaters and saw (drum roll) Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Overrated and a throwback to the first one I saw back in (gulp) 1977. Even the bar scene was a clear steal. Same story and same characters, just one generation later. Entertaining enough, I guess, especially Chewie.
We were in bed by midnight. Tomorrow we ride around San Antonio! I have been promised hills. We will see what hills are made of in Florida. Something besides steel and concrete, possibly!
