Rewiring in Key Largo
A do-nothing day. A good thing for rewiring. Thinking and relaxing. The relaxing part was good since I didn't sleep so great my first night camping. It is also unseasonably warm here as it is everywhere up and down the East Coast. And a bit humid, but I am not complaining. I slept with the tent flies and cover open!
I think I rose after 8:00 and took a leisurely time showering and getting ready for the day of nothing! I mostly hung out in the "breezeway," where the campground has a free Wi-Fi hotspot, working on my blog and catching up on news.
At lunchtime I headed for the local pizza shop, Upper Crust Pizza, with the anticipation of getting a pizza. Unfortunately, their smallest was 12", and I thought that was too much, so I passed on the pizza and went for a chicken parmigiana sub. It was at best so-so; I hope their pizzas are better.
Back to camp and time to hit poolside. Podcast time . . . I am way behind on my podcasts! So I spent a couple of hours enjoying the pool, listening to podcasts, and napping.
I also brought a book along for reading pleasure and spent some time catching up on "125 Years of the Atlantic Monthly," which makes for good reading since the articles are not overly long and are easy pickups and reads.
For dinner I wanted seafood. I wanted to go back to The Fish House and try their "best seafood in the Keys." That was about a 1-1/2 mile hike, which was pleasant except for the traffic on US 1! After arriving, the wait was 20-30 minutes, but I was seated on the 20 minute side. It's always tough dining alone, but the yellowtail snapper was excellent!
That was it. I went to bed early and slept well!
