Rewiring in Ft Lauderdale, Day 2

Another lazy start. And why not? Rewiring, rewiring, rewiring. Monday night was a bit tough lol. But today, Bob was not about to miss his appointment with his personal trainer, so I opted for breakfast at a local diner that Bob graciously dropped me off at. Afterward, I wandered to a Target-hosted Starbucks to borrow some Wi-Fi and uploaded pics to my blog (Bob's Wi-Fi had steadfastly refused my attempts to log on). Then, as I wandered back to the condo, I decided to at least spend a little time gazing at the beach.

The local bike rack. In the shape of a sea turtle!

Well, beaches are beaches, but bike racks are one of a kind sometimes.

The afternoon was equally lazy, filled with reading and our typical political conversations (Bob is well-versed if not in the "wrong" political spectrum lol). We both decided we should eat before the boat cruise that night, as we both anticipated that much alcohol would be consumed as we toured the waterways around Ft Lauderdale, eyeing the well-decorated homes of the well-heeled. To ensure the former, we started early at Shooters Waterfront with Bloody Marys and lunch, of course. Then back to the condo, where I grabbed a quick nap before we headed out at 6:00 to catch the 7:00 departure.

This was a two-hour tour, which I did on my last visit as well. But that was during daylight hours. These are many of the same houses but lit up quite spectacularly.

This house allegedly has one (that's right, 1) bedroom.

We topped off the night with a quick bite at Rosie's Bar & Grill and a drive up Ocean Boulevard to check out the beach decorations.

A car on Ocean Boulevard made up as Santa's snow sleigh.

That was enough for one night. We both had to rise early, and I had 52 miles to bike. Time to sleep!
