Rewiring in Disney World I: Hollywood Studios and Epcot Center

OK, not a lot of explanation needed here, mostly pictures!

The warm-up act. We were early, and you had to wait till 9:00 AM prompt before you could actually wander beyond the welcome stage into the park.

First stop was Star Tours! This was a fun ride that we did twice!

C-3PO was our escort and flight captain.

Supported by a cast of animated characters.

Next, The Great Movie Ride:

Entry to a slow ride — perfect for Mark's stomach!

Then some Jedi Knight training:

The kids took it VERY seriously. One even started crying (promptly removed by Disney staff . . . can't have that, can we?). There is no crying in Star Wars!

Then, another stomach-wrenching ride for Mark (who was a good trooper).

This was today's best ride . . . well, it gave Rock n' Roller Coaster a run for the thrill factor.

I have to say, the level of "detail" is impressive.

And this is just the wait line to get into the actual ride.

Mark deferred on the Rock n' Roller Coaster ride, where I got my first upside-down experience. OK, I'm late in the game, I know . . . rewiring, rewiring, rewiring.

Spoiler Alert: Aerosmith was nowhere to be seen.

Next, off to Epcot:

The world as interpreted by Disney. Getting dated, but I can see how it impressed in its day.

I don't recall the name of this one, but it was fun as it took your picture and put you in the act!

Afterward, we wandered around the big lake, had a few (expensive) beers, and waited for the fireworks, which are worth the wait!

Fireworks . . . all in the center of the lake.

Of course, these pictures hardly do it justice . . .

Finally, good night to Disney. Time to find dinner . . . off-site!
