Petchaburi to Bangkok by train

A lazy day (in cycling terms).

Spent most of the morning getting my birding database up to date with the sightings over the past week while Leigh just chilled.

Then we said goodbye to Ang and her lovely guesthouse, JJ Home, and caught the train to Bangkok.

The little wire bicycle says goodbye to Petchaburi.

Third class trains are almost always more interesting and enjoyable than the snooty classes. Today our carriage was mostly filled with a large group of very well behaved teenagers who were returning to Bangkok from some youth gathering. Even with the language gap, it was impossible not to notice that they had had a great time. The rest of the space was taken by our bicyles and some bags of rice because there was no goods van on this train.

We're spending the night at the Srikung Hotel a few hundred meters from Hua Lampong station and we catch the 7am train to Phitsanoluk tomorrow morning.
