Rest Day in Halifax: The Sunny One

We had arrived in Halifax one day earlier than planned and decided to stay for two days to relax, recharge, and enjoy the city. Today we rose late! We had been out till after midnight last night and needed the rest! So after some coffee, we went on a walkabout in Halifax. It was bright and sunny!

First stop: The Old Burying Ground.

The Crimean War monument, commemorating the British victory in the Crimean War and the Nova Scotians who fought in the war.

Inside, these two were a lot more friendly. They liked the fact I had worn red today.

And they had great mussels at the Waterfront Warehouse . . . along with a haddock "burger" and a couple of Propeller IPAs.

Afterward, we went back to the hotel and relaxed before going out for a late dinner. The restaurants were packed, so we ultimately did not get seated till after 9:30! If you go to Halifax, make reservations.
