This dog entertained us while camping at Runkel. He was determined to dig up moles and was kept very busy.

Pugs (called Mops in Germany)are always fun for us to stop and talk to. Mary Ellen's sister has had pugs - always excitable creatures.

Beautiful architecture in Bad Ems. Some of these former stately homes are now therapeutic clinics due to the restorative nature of the water here. We saw many people in wheelchairs and with other health problems who come here for medical care

Swans are a common sight along the rivers - but this is the first swan paddle boat that we have seen.

We love all kinds of bikes and this boy was very proud of the "wheelies" he popped by standing on the training wheels.

There is a lovely promenade and gardens along the river. We found out later that the Spielbank building is now a casino.

We're not sure why there is a Beatles Museum here - did they perform in Bad Ems?
