In Pézenas (a photo gallery)

Pézenas is an exceptionally attractive small town, full of artistic influences, history and character - a town you can wander through at length and find one surprise after another.  It reminds me a bit of Céret and is roughly the same size though perhaps better known and more given over to tourism.  Like Céret though, it feels quite livable with its largely pedestrianized historical core and generous supply of enticing restaurants and cafes.  It’s easy to imagine living here if you were after a small town lifestyle.

No narrative here, just some photos from a meander through the old town.

Maybe not the most interesting photo, but it’s here because I (mistakenly) thought this was where the restaurant was that we dined at on our previous visit. I was deeply saddened to see that it was no longer here.

Scott AndersonTo Suzanne GibsonIt’s an excellent town for that, alright. Especially in the old Jewish quarter. Almost every door you pass has a story to tell.
