Lyon: Arrival day

We arrived in Lyon from Canada this morning. As is my normal routine I allow a few days for sightseeing and jet lag management before I begin a cycling adventure. I want to have a clear head when I start riding for safety reasons and to get the most enjoyment out of the ride. Lyon is the 3rd largest city in France with just over 500K people. It is situated on the confluence of the Rhône and Soane rivers and historically it was a very important city in the silk trade business. We went for a long walk along both rivers before returning to the hotel through a beautiful park and garden.
