More of Valparaiso area

Lonely Planet describes Valparaiso as “syncopated, dilapidated, colorful and poetic, Valparaíso is a wonderful mess.“. It’s best before date has definitely past but it is still worth a visit for a day or two but no more. The weather continues to be less than ideal with lots of fog and cooler temperatures. Saturday we went for a drive north along the coast. There were some very affluent areas but also some very poor ones. There were some beautiful beaches and great areas for surfing if that is your thing. Sunday we wandered about again seeing some new sites and revisited others. We have decided to move on tomorrow rather than stay a 5th day.
