Towards the beginning of Patagonia. - Northbound from Argentina through Brazil - CycleBlaze

December 12, 2010

Towards the beginning of Patagonia.

2 maps of where I've recently past, a 3th of the province of Buenos Aires and the Northern half of Patagonia, the road ahead. (Sorry my technical skills don't include plotting red lines on Google maps.)

There follows some vistas and other things from my previous visit to Patagonia.

Little cyclist, big wide horizon.

I cycled from Trelew near the Atlantic coast to the Andes via National Route 25. It's a fantastically scenic road, but the wind! Shoo, don't mention the wind.

I thought I would be caught in a afternoon thunder storm but I found a place to camp and had the tent up just as it began to rain.

And there is where he lived, La cabana de Butch Cassidy, as it's known locally, a 100 years after he fled. Note the local municipal has taken steps to preserve it with a recently repaired roof and woodwork around the windows.
