Off to Stratford on Avon
We left London today by train to Stratford upon Avon to visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare. It was an interesting trip because we knew that we had to change at Leamington Spa but our tickets said High Wycombe so we got off. Fortunately I asked where we needed to go to catch the next train and the agent said the one we just got off. Again fortunately we had time to get back on the make the proper connection. Once in Stratford we found our flat that is lovely and modern and very close to town. The best part of the day for me was that I met up with a friend that I cycled across France with back in 2013. We have stayed in touch by email and met up in Bilbao Spain in 2017 but we haven’t seen each other since. We walked the town and caught up on the past few years. I am working on her to come to Canada. For dinner we had very good Chinese takeout.
