Henley to Windsor

Our last ride

PFOur last ride took us from Henley to Windsor.  Much of the route was on trail today and crossed the Thames a couple of times.  We started by riding back up into the Chilterns but about half way through we went down to the river valley.  It was a lovely sunny day but it was windy.  We arrived in Windsor about 12:30 and our bags arrived just after 1pm.  We had lunch and made our 3pm tour time for Windsor Castle with hundreds of our not so close friends.  When we first went to the castle the Union Jack was flying but Hilary and I noticed that the flag changed to the royal cipher, meaning the king had returned to the castle.  Apparently he had been in London for trooping of the colours but will be in Windsor all week.

Our final day’s route.

A mounted Hurricane Hawker as we entered Windsor. It was a workhorse during WWII attacking German bombers. It was invented by a man for Windsor and he also in invented the Harrier Jump Jet.

I found these dog toys in a pet store. I haven’t bought one yet but I might. I would enjoy watching Murphy destroy the orange menace.
