Day 3 Norman Bay to Strathalbyn

The next day the cold northerly was still blowing as we returned to Yankalilla then climbed over the ridge and down the other side to Victor Harbour for our morning tea and food break. From Victor Harbour to Goolwa we rode a bike route being a mix of back roads and dedicated bike paths along the coast to Goolwa. A feature of the ride was the magnificent display of orange and yellow wild daisies on the edge of the sea.

We had lunch at Goolwa on a wharf below the Hindmarsh Island bridge.Goolwa is the last town before the Murray River enters the sea.

Cafe on Goolwa Wharf. I asked if they could make me a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and was told that the chef could provide a toasted ham and cheese croissant. Poncy git! It did taste good though!
