Billabong Backroads: Echuca to Cohuna via Gunbower

Today’s ride was mostly on very pleasant backroads close to the Murray River and it’s lagoons. We managed to avoid the busy Murray Valley Highway but rode on some very gnarly dirt tracks to do so. This brought out the inner MTB in the versatile Thorn Sherpa.

We decided to call it a day at the very pleasant town of Cohuna located on the bank of the Gunbower Creek.
Accommodation was bivvy camping under the stars right on the river at Cohuna campground.
There was time for a swim in the river. The Cohuna Corellas did not stop squawking ... day and night.
Meal was a pleasant Bower Pub meal.
A possum raid of my food bag during the night cost a banana:)
