Day 9: Leognan to Caudrot: The Bordeaux vineyards.

No rain. Departure at 9:30 from Leognan crossing the Sauternes vineyard Château d'Yquem to reach the Garonne lateral canal in Castets en Dorthe.

Track 01 LC 54 km

Workers go through the Sauternes vineyards several times between October and November to hand-pick the full rotted grapes.

Inside the guest house. Very good food. Moelleux Caudrot glass of white wine, cold cucumber soup served with chopped tomatoes. Duck magret with sliced potatoes, pie made with fresh plums from the garden.
