Day 15: Goujounac to Monpazier: Bastides in Dordognes

Second half of track J1 61 km

Our day started with a rectangle of deep blue sky. The only visible cloud was a fake one issued from the cooling tower of Goldfes nuclear plant.

For today and tomorrow, Philippe will show me the Bastides - fortified towns -in Dordogne.

Leaving Goujounac Hostellerie after a gorgeous breakfast. By the way, the hotel decoration is done with a lot of taste and refinement.

Entering Capdrot village. The Drot is a small river starting a couple of kilometer from the village and finishing in Caudrot. Cap means "source " and "Cau" means tail.

This advertissemnt seek by Philippe is the scarce commercial about a french newspaper being sold in Paris between 1863 and 1944 founded by Moïse Polydore Maillaud. North wall side of Capdrot church. Apparently local people ignored existence of this old commercial.
