Day 13: Prayssac to Cahors: A lot of Walnut trees, a lot of river bends

Track 05 LC 28 km

Perfect day, no traffic, no rain, no wind, temperature no more than high 20°C. Enough sun to keep us warm when going downhill. The GPS tracks did help us " a lot ". Sometime the signage are missing.

Cahors appears to be an old city with very narrow streets, may be to stand the heat of very hot summers, which was not the case this year. So we are very fortunate to have such a cool weather to reach the town and to leave it by tomorrow ...

Waving good bye to Gerrie, Ruod and their dog Bruce in Prayssac. Great people, nice B & B, peaceful place.

The village road was very steep and the Rohloff combine with a a low chain ring diameter of 30 sprockets was perfect for climbing at sometime less than 1 km/h allowing to take pictures of the local cobblestones

These pretty roses are not there for decoration but act has a warning for grape disease. They will declare it first and allow preventive treatment on grapes.

Philippe did a great job for making all the Hotel and B&B reservations. Specially the one in Cahors, being right in the middle of the town.

The old medieval part of Cahors is black an oppressive with narrow roads. Even possible to shake hands from across the street, building to building. Looks like the town has been designed to provide shade to stand hot summers. Not easy to shot picture there.
