I spent my rest day in Bukhara seeing the sights, eating and hydrating (more) and just generally being a tourist! The city is beautiful with it's 5th century Islamic architecture comprising mosques, minarets and mausoleums. The streets are clean and tourists are in plentiful supply, hence coercing local business people to run fancy restaurants, bars and hotels, all tastefully built into the medieval stone buildings. I was quite happy strolling around from sight to sight, under an umbrella that I borrowed from the hotel to o keep in in shade all morning long! Tomorrow, I plan to continue East.
