To Angkor Thom

it was a short day and we started at 8! We rode from the hotel!  There was some moderately technical stuff.

There are 100 temples in the area. Some of them are Buddhist and some Hindu. All are 800 to 1400 years old.

The temple at the Royal Palace from later Buddhist times. The Palace was wood which the king preferred and it's gone.

The deputy prime Minister of China came and some areas were temporarily off limits. We wandered around for several hours altogether.

We have finished cycling and 6 of the 9 of us head home tomorrow.

We had 9 participants and, in Cambodia 🇰🇭,  we had our tour leader, a local guide, a bike mechanic, a combo bike wrangler and water filler, and a bus driver. Everyone is glad to see tourists.

I met my bird guide in the afternoon.  We start tomorrow at 5:30.

Today's ride: 15 km (9 miles)
Total: 293 km (182 miles)
