I have this opportunity to go on an extended vacation that will cost me practically nothing: someone offered to stay in my flat and pay the rent for exactly the period that I will be away.

After I did my research, I chose The Netherlands as my main destination: it's very compact with lots of places to see. And the Vrienden organisation will help me with cheap accommodation.

So I booked the cheapest flight that satisfied my requirements. By accident, the total trip will be 80 days long, hence the title of this journal.
