Day 6 - Satisfy Us with Your Love
“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations” Psalm 90:1
Pretty good day honestly. I woke up a few times through the night and even in the morning I didn’t really want to go. I just wanted to sleep more. Once I got going, I felt a bit better. I ran out of food (horrible planning) and had to ride 35 miles to the gas station. It wasn’t horrible but they did t have a good breakfast so I just kept it to bars. I got to call mom before her safe families photo shoot for CT 💃and around 45 I got real food. Breakfast pizza lol. I was feeling great and the wind was at my back/side so I was moving very well. Caleb called for about an hour. So good to take my mind off the miles and just talk about whatever with him. Then Dave called. Amazing talking to him. Just someone that understands what it’s like to be out here. Got to talk to mom and then Elise for a bit right as it got quite windy which made me frustrated. I made it to the geographical center of North America and was tired and frustrated because all day I felt so good. I got 2 more slices of pizza to try and energize me. Seemed to help. Got to talk to Elise for awhile as I dealt with some cross wind. And then Dad called as he was riding home from work! So fun to call as we’re both biking just a few states over. I’m excited to ride with you when I get home (and in Alaska). Wind was pretty bad and I wasn’t sure if I was going to do 145 or 170. I got to 145 and I decided I’d keep going. I prayed coming in that I would make a wise decision it definitely was. As I was getting ready for the last 25 a lady walked up to me and asked some questions about what I was doing. I found out her name was Anita and she reminded me how to live generously. Such a sweet time to meet her and see how to live with arms extended in every sense. Anita, thanks for seeing me for where I was. Truly so kind. I then cooked the rest of the time and got to call my parents a bit more before reaching my site. Overall a great day. I’m loving it out here!
